It's been one of those weeks where everyday has been about as much as I could handle. Which is great cause we were busy and going about doing goo, but my goodness. I've learned so much about how to depend on Jesus Christ in everything - even when I think I've got this haha.
We did an earthquake drill with the mission. We jumped under our desks and laughed a bit and then I looked down at my arm and saw a sticky spider trap on my arm!!! With dead spiders all over it. I started freaking out, of course, pleading for sister paschal to pull it off but she's over there in hysterics and finally we figure out how to pull it off my arm. I nearly died!!!
So we were out walking (surprise!) and we see this dog run past us. And we get kind of nervous because he's running at us. And he just passes no big deal, and then we hear a guy say, "get him!" This guy is just sitting on his porch and we started talking to him and we learned that his dog had ran away and he and his wife had been trying to catch him. We said, "we're on it" and started trying to chase this dog. We ran into a kid named Kayden who helped us try and get him. The dog evaded us but later on we got to talk with both Scott (the man) and Kayden about the church. And my goodness they are so wonderful. The Lord is preparing them for His gospel and it is so beautiful! Yet another example of how the Lord does this work through imperfect yet willing servants.
We are teaching a super cute girl named Maddy who LOVES the Book of Mormon and also telling jokes. If you could send me some jokes that would be greatly appreciated. She is so cute because she just believes so easily. She reads, and prays, gets an answer and then acts on it. She's taught me a lot about what it means to come unto Christ as a little child.
It was a very busy week and miracle after miracle have happened. I am so grateful for the Holy Ghost, for Jesus Christ, and for my Heavenly Father.
I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I am so grateful for this knowledge because with it I know that God lives, that He has prepared a way for me to be happy, and be a better person. Prayer is real, God listens, He cares about what we tell Him and how we feel. He sent His son so that we could find peace and forgiveness and hope and joy. Forever.
I love you!!
